Adriana Vontelas

Special Counsel

Adriana Vontelas is a Special Counsel at Quantum Law Group specialising in tax law. With over 13 years of tax experience, she has a deep understanding of federal taxation, specialising in high complexity issues, tax controversy, and corporate taxation.

Due to her vast experience as a General Counsel and Compliance Leader throughout Australia and the APAC region, Adriana plays a vital role in Quantum Law Group navigating complex tax issues and ensuring favourable outcomes for her clients. Adriana prides herself on being able to navigate her clients through these complexities, providing clear solutions. Her comprehensive knowledge and skills in these areas have contributed significantly to the success to our firm.

Adriana has advised:

• On tax minimisation strategies to clients engaged in both civil and criminal matters
• Offshore clients on due diligence and structing relating to the acquisition of Australian businesses
• And negotiated the declaration of undeclared assessable income to the ATO and ensuring the reduction in penalties and interest, in some cases to nil
• On estate planning matters, including the creation of testamentary trusts via a will and the establishment of investment bonds as part of the testator’s estate.   

Adriana graduated with a Masters of Law (2009) from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) and was awarded the Nea Goodman Award for achieving exceptional academic merit by attaining the highest marks across all the subjects undertaken.

Before joining Quantum Law Group, Adriana was a Director at the Australian Tax Office, Public Groups & International division and a Banking and Finance Paralegal at Kemp Strang Lawyers Pty Lt.

In addition to her role at Quantum Law Group, she is also an in-house Legal Counsel at UTS College.
